CREEM is seeking volunteers teachers to help kick start its English Language Empowerment & Evangelism (ELM) Programme. Teachers will teach English to refugees using Bible-based (Christian) literature weekly. We also seek volunteers in other areas to help us reach Muslim Refugees for Christ. Whatever the skills you have we need you. All the skills and experiences you need is have a hunger for expanding the Kingdom of God.

St James the Less has run the Open Door Meal (ODM) for the homeless and vulnerably housed for many years.  We currently welcome guests on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month at the St James the Less Centre in Pimlico.  We are looking for volunteers who can help prepare the food from 2pm to 4pm and/or serve the hot meal to guests from 6.30pm to 9.30pm (the meal is open 7pm to 9pm). Would you like to volunteer in our church cafe? St Mary’s Café is open on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9am to 12pm. It is a welcoming and friendly place which serves environmentally friendly Fairtrade coffee and a range of inexpensive drinks, homemade cakes, pastries and snacks. The café is open to all across the generations and is a great place for people from the community to meet. The café also has a great soft play facility for 5’s and under.  We require friendly and enthusiastic volunteers who can assist in the cafe. e.g. taking orders, serving coffees & cakes, clearing tables and making speciality coffees (full barista training will be provided). The café is located in the church but people do not need to be church members to be volunteers-everyone is welcome. Addiction and destructive habits are a growing problem. They can affect both mental and physical wellbeing, and affect both the individual and the people around them. Faithworks offers one-to-one support for those in addiction, with a particular focus on community activities. We do a walk with recovery clients on a Monday from 12pm - 2pm, starting at Boscombe Pier.  We also run a Recovery Activity Day on a Thursday from 9am - 4pm. People with experience in addiction recovery, either personally or through supporting others, would be ideally suited.
