The Hub, Beeding is seeking a Children and Family / Families Worker to continue and expand the community ministry at The Hub. It’s a fixed term (12 month), part-time (60% FTE) contract with the possibility of expanding to a permanent, full-time job in due course. Responsibilities Our community ministry has evolved due to the diverse needs of the community in which we live. It serves all ages. The role will take on and build upon the foundations already in place, namely: Messy Church Runs on the third Saturday of each month and is attended by up to 20 families. Children and families are an important part of our vision. We want to see every child and family that lives in Southport have the opportunity to meet with the God who can change their lives. We have a target of 200 young people (0-18s) connected to Christ Church by 2028. Currently, we have around 70 and on a Sunday we get 15-25 3-11s at Kids Church (supported by a kids team of roughly 12 volunteers). The primary focus of the role is to help the wider church family develop the ministry of St Mary’s in the 0-11 age group.
