About the role

Thrive Youth Ministries is seeking a highly organised and proactive Operations Manager to support the growing work we do with churches across Warwickshire and Coventry. This is a key role at the heart of the charity, helping to ensure our systems, safeguarding, administration, finances and communications are effective, robust and aligned with our vision to see every church equipped with a thriving youth and children’s ministry.

The Operations Manager will work closely with the CEO and wider staff team to strengthen the operational foundations that enable our ministry to flourish and expand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day finance operations including bookkeeping, payroll, Gift Aid and reporting.

  • Lead on safeguarding processes, DBS checks, and ensuring best practice in partnership with our Safeguarding Team.

  • Manage office systems, supplies, insurance, and administrative processes to ensure efficient operations.

  • Support HR and governance: staff recruitment administration, policy review, risk assessments and induction processes.

  • Maintain and develop Thrive’s database systems (currently Salesforce) and ensure accurate, secure records.

  • Oversee website updates, social media profiles, and supporter communications, working with our Fundraising Consultant.

  • Support the CEO and staff team with operational needs and contribute to key events and activities.

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is a committed Christian actively involved in a local church.

  • Has excellent organisational and administrative skills.

  • Is confident in managing systems, processes and detail.

  • Can work independently and collaboratively.

  • Communicates clearly and professionally.

  • Brings a positive, proactive and solution-focused mindset.

  • Has experience in administration (charity or church roles beneficial but not essential).

This role carries a Genuine Occupational Requirement (GOR) under the Equality Act 2010 for the post-holder to be a Christian, due to the nature, context and ethos of our ministry.
