Job Description

Sixty-One Church Engagement and Hubs Lead

Salary £18,600, 3 days a week (£31,000 FTE)

Could you support, inspire and enable local churches to meet the needs of people with a criminal conviction?

Sixty-One is a Bristol-based charity providing relational and practical support to men and women with a criminal conviction and the motivation to change. We also seek to inspire, engage and equip the church and individual Christians to join our work as a practical expression of Jesus’ love for people on the margins.

Sixty-One is looking for a Church Engagement and Hubs Lead, 3 days a week (22.5 hours a week)

Are you: Passionate about supporting people who have experience of the Criminal Justice System?

Do you:  Have experience of working with churches as well as people with complex needs?

Could you: Bring your excellent people, training and communication skills, to our team?

A full and active understanding of the Christian faith and Jesus’ teachings as well as the church landscape are key to this role.  It is also considered that the need to preach and personally model the work of Sixty-One to partner churches requires the role to be undertaken by a professing Christian. It is considered that this occupational requirement falls within the exceptions in the Equalities Act 2010.

To apply, please visit our website www.sixty-one.org and download an application form. Please complete this, along with an Equalities Monitoring form, and return to alisonp@sixty-one.org by midnight on Thursday 23rd April 2026.

It is important to refer to the person specification in the job description when completing section five of the application form.

Interviews will be held w/c Tuesday 5th May 2026
