£29,000 - £32,000 yearly

Job Description

About us: Princess Alice Hospice is a charity supporting people in life, death and grief. We’re dedicated to working closely with individuals, communities and organisations in the London Boroughs of Kingston and Richmond and large parts of Surrey, ensuring more people can access high‑quality, compassionate end of life care when they need it most. About our Education and Research Team: Our Education and Research team plays a vital role in sharing skills, knowledge and expertise in palliative and end of life care across the hospice and wider healthcare community. We are a friendly, supportive and collaborative team, passionate about evidence‑based practice and inclusive learning. Much of our work takes place outside the hospice, supporting colleagues and partner organisations in community and care settings. We actively encourage professional development, reflective practice and innovation, creating an environment where people can grow as educators while staying connected to high‑quality care. About the role: As a Care Educator – Community Outreach, you will deliver education and training to learners from a wide range of partner organisations, helping to build confidence, knowledge and skills in end‑of‑life care. You will also contribute, where required, to education programmes delivered within the hospice. This is a varied and rewarding role combining teaching, relationship‑building and hands‑on support. You will work flexibly across different settings, using inclusive and engaging learning approaches to meet the needs of diverse learners. You’ll play an important part in widening access to hospice‑quality education, strengthening care in the community and improving experiences for people with life‑limiting illness and their families. About you: You’ll be experienced in working in a health or care setting with credible, current clinical experience in community or residential settings, alongside a genuine passion for developing others. You enjoy sharing knowledge, adapting your teaching style and supporting people to grow in confidence and competence. You communicate clearly and compassionately, build positive relationships with learners and partners, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Organised, flexible and confident in adapting to different environments, you’re motivated by making a meaningful difference through education and will align closely with our values, bringing integrity, compassion and a commitment to excellence to everything you do. If you’re inspired by the opportunity to share your expertise and help strengthen end‑of‑life care in the community, we’d love to hear from you!
