Description
Strong technical year end accounting knowledge, including reconciliations, accruals and prepayments, fund accounting, and deferred income
Deep understanding of, and experience working with, Sage and Business Central
Experience leading the technical side of year end audits, delivering evidence to auditors and responding to auditor queries
Experience of charity accounting
Month-end process expertise
Comfortable preparing audit schedules and extracting reports
Relationship managing with external auditor
Reconciliation of control accounts, high level review for internal and external stakeholders
Profile
A successful Year End Accountant should have:
A background in accounting or finance, with proven expertise in year-end processes.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency with accounting software and Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
