Finance Manager

Finance Manager Group of Companies | Full-Time | Permanent | On-site, Plymouth Salary: £45,000 We're looking for an experienced Finance Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day accounting function across our group of four companies. This is a hands-on, transactional role suited to someone who enjoys being close to the numbers and thrives on accuracy, structure, and getting things done. The Role Reporting into senior management, you'll be responsible for the full accounting cycle across all four entities, including: * Purchase and sales ledger management * Bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring * Processing supplier and customer invoices * Payroll support and staff expenses * VAT returns and other statutory compliance * Month-end close and management accounts preparation * Intercompany transactions and reconciliations * Supporting year-end accounts and liaising with external accountants/auditors * Maintaining accurate financial records across multiple entities About You * AAT Level 4 qualified (or equivalent), with solid practical accounting experience * Proven experience in a transactional, multi-entity accounting environment * Strong working knowledge of accounting software (e.g. Xero, Sage, QuickBooks) * Confident using Excel for reconciliations and reporting * Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail * Able to manage competing priorities across four separate businesses * A proactive, hands-on approach — comfortable rolling up your sleeves Why Join Us You'll be a key part of a small, close-knit finance function with real ownership over the numbers.
