Could you be our next Lead Pastor?

Riverside Church is looking for our next Lead Pastor — someone with a clear sense of calling, a love for people and a passion to see the church flourish in its mission to serve God and our local community.

Riverside is an independent, charismatic, Spirit-led, fully inclusive and affirming church with a long-standing commitment to serving Whitstable, Herne Bay and the surrounding area. Our church family includes more than 300 adults, children and young people, and we are passionate about being “good for everyone” — creating a welcoming, safe and life-giving community where people of all ages can flourish as those made in the image of God.

This is a significant opportunity for an individual or couple to lead our Christ-centred, vibrant, welcoming, multi-generational and outward-facing church into its next season.

We are looking for someone who can help us build on the strong foundations already established, while discerning with us where God is leading Riverside next. This will include nurturing spiritual growth and discipleship, strengthening our community impact, developing our people and teams, and providing wise and effective organisational leadership.

Perhaps you are currently serving as an Associate Pastor or in another significant church leadership role, and sense that God is calling you into a Lead Pastor position.

Perhaps you are already a Lead Pastor and feel that God is calling you and your family into a new season of ministry.

Or perhaps you are an experienced Christian leader from another context, with gifts, experience and a sense of calling that could translate into pastoral leadership.
