Job Description

Office Manager

Permanent, part-time role

£9,407 pa pro rata (for 12 hours a week, ideally across 3 days)

Chislehurst Youth for Christ is a small Christian charity that aims to make a big difference to the lives of young people in and around Bromley. Come and join our team!

About the role

Reporting to the charity’s CEO, our Office Manager has a pivotal role in the smooth operations of our charity. It’s a varied role with lots of opportunity to get involved in all aspects of the charity. Key areas of responsibility include managing administration for our charity and our shop, communication with key stakeholders, organising events, and maintaining HR, GDPR and DBS records.

About you

To be our Office Manager, you’ll need to be really organised, with plenty of administration experience and the ability to use your initiative. We’re a small charity, so you’ll need to be flexible, with a range of skills and experience that you can use to lead in a variety of areas, as outlined in the job description. You’ll be a confident communicator, friendly and approachable, and good with IT, including Office 365.

About us

Chislehurst Youth for Christ has been supporting young people in and around Chislehurst since 2004 and in recent years we’ve broadened our reach more widely in the Bromley borough.

We’re about seeing young people’s lives changed by Jesus in a relevant and practical way. We do this through our work in schools, churches, and local communities, sometimes in partnership with other organisations. Our activities include youth clubs, mentoring, knife crime awareness sessions, mental health and wellbeing groups, faith and worship clubs, and pop-up sessions for the summer.

Much of our funding comes through our ‘2gether’ charity shop in Chislehurst High Street which is run with the support of our team of wonderful volunteers.

Our office, where the Office Manager role is based, is at St Barnabas Church, Rushet Road, St Paul’s Cray, BR5 2PU.

We are a registered charity (1122523) and a member of the national charity, Youth for Christ. We also have close links with Transform Bromley Borough (TBB) and with local ‘Churches Together’ groups.
