Cosham Baptist Church are seeking someone to lead the Pastoral support to the congregation of the Church and to lead the church’s ministry to the older members of the congregation. This will be a part-time (20 hours per week) paid role.  The role will be reviewed after 3 and 12 months. We are hiring a Youth Worker who will develop, lead, and nurture the faith of young people across Burghfield and Mortimer villages. Mortimer and Burghfield Methodist Churches have growing numbers of young people in their congregations. At Mortimer four teenagers and six primary school aged children regularly worship, and at Burghfield eight teenagers and 12 primary school aged children are present most Sundays. Beyond Sunday worship, the secondary school aged children attend a fortnightly Sunday evening youth club, along with another dozen young people from a neighbouring church. An additional mid-week group is being set up, and a Bible study for the older young people (16+ ) is running this summer – shared with a third local free church.
