Client Snapshot I am currently recruiting for a well-established organisation that specialises in supporting young people facing homelessness, housing difficulties, and other complex support needs. Their services are highly regarded across the sector, helping vulnerable young people develop the skills and confidence needed to move towards independent living. Due to long-term sickness cover, they are now seeking an experienced Housing Support Worker to join their team on a temporary basis. Vacancy Brief * Housing Support Worker – Temporary Assignment * Based in Solihull * 18.75 hours per week * Working Pattern: * Tuesday: 9:00am – 5:00pm * Thursday: 9:00am – 5:00pm * Friday: 9:00am – 12:45pm * No weekend working * Site-based role at a single supported housing scheme, mother and baby unit. * Pay Rate: £13.15 PAYE or £16.70 per hour Umbrella * Enhanced DBS (Child & Adult Workforce) required * Previous experience supporting young people within homelessness, supported housing, or independent living services is essential Duties & Responsibilities * Provide person-centred housing-related support to clients in a mother and baby unit living within supported accommodation. * Assist residents to develop independent living skills, including budgeting, tenancy management, education, training, and employment goals. * Complete support plans, risk assessments, and regular reviews to monitor progress and outcomes. * Support young people to sustain accommodation and prevent homelessness. * Work closely with external agencies and partner organisations to ensure residents receive appropriate support. * Safeguard vulnerable young people and respond appropriately to welfare concerns. * Maintain accurate case records and contribute to service performance requirements. * Encourage engagement with support services and promote positive wellbeing. What We're Looking For * Experience supporting young people within homelessness, housing, supported living, or related support services. * Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk assessment, and support planning. * Ability to build positive professional relationships and engage hard-to-reach individuals. * Experience working within a person-centred and outcomes-focused environment. * Enhanced DBS covering Child and Adult Workforce (or willingness to obtain one).
