Assistant Support Worker - Safe House for Male Survivors of Human Trafficking & Modern Slavery
Location: Newcastle City Centre
Hours: Full-time (1 weekend in 3)
Rate: £13–£17 per hour (depending on pay status)

Supporting Futures are recruiting for an Assistant Support Worker to join a specialist safe house supporting male survivors of human trafficking and modern slavery.
This is a rewarding opportunity to provide practical and emotional support to vulnerable adults, helping residents feel safe, settled and empowered as they work towards greater independence.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing day-to-day practical and emotional support to residents
Assisting clients with appointments, healthcare, benefits, housing and community access
Supporting residents with accessing immigration and asylum services
Helping clients develop independence and life skills
Assisting with support plans, risk assessments and safeguarding processes
Liaising with external agencies and professionals as required
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring the safe house remains a supportive and welcoming environment
Working as part of a wider team to provide trauma-informed support
What We’re Looking For:
Experience supporting vulnerable adults or individuals with complex needs
Experience within areas such as homelessness, mental health, domestic abuse, refugees, trafficking or other support services would be beneficial
Good understanding of safeguarding and person-centred support
Compassionate, reliable and able to work as part of a team
Enhanced DBS issued within the last 12 months or registered on the Update Service
Supporting Futures Consulting acts as both an employer and an agency
