Developing the ministry at Gorsley Baptist Church (GBC) for the 0-11’s and supporting the  transition into youth, and key transition periods. Working with an established volunteer  team, families, community groups, and engaging in a variety of events. Building connections with the children and their parent/carers. Currently we run three groups on a Sunday across 0-11’s, and during the week we run Acorn  stay and play, aimed at preschool aged children which we get about 40 children each week,  and we run Rooted, an afterschool space which we get about 50 children each week mostly  from the local primary school. As well as developing those connections within the local  primary, from supporting their assemblies, and seasonal services, and coaching via TLG. The Pastor is a key role within the leadership team at Chinnor Community Church.   The Pastor is expected to fulfil the New Testament requirements of an Elder, in particular to have primary responsibility, together with the other Elders, for the spiritual development of the Church through discipleship and preaching of the Word.  The Pastor will also lead the Church in developing and encouraging new thinking in its witness to the village and beyond.
